Named for the part that keeps it running.
A mechanical watch has no battery and no motor. All of its energy comes from one coiled strip of steel, the mainspring. Wind it once and it keeps the watch running for days, one measured tick at a time. That's what we built this to do for outbound.
Most outbound stops when someone stops pushing.
Lists go stale, follow-ups slip, and the sequence that worked in March is still running in June. Outbound usually runs on someone's effort, so it stops when they get busy.
A mainspring needs effort once, when it's wound. After that it delivers that energy steadily for as long as it lasts. We wanted outbound that works the same way: set up properly once, then running steadily without a person pushing every step.
Every part of the watch has a counterpart in the system.
You wind a watch once and it runs for days. With Mainspring, the winding is the setup: your ideal customer, your offer, the claims you're allowed to make, and the limits it must stay inside.
The coiled spring stores the energy and drives everything else. Here that's the loop of agents that keeps working after you've walked away: finding accounts, writing, sending, following up.
Gears pass the spring's force along, each turning the next. Research hands accounts to contacts, contacts to the writer, the writer to the sender, the sender to replies, replies to the calendar.
Without an escapement a spring dumps all its energy in seconds. The escapement releases it one tick at a time. Mainspring paces every domain and mailbox the same way, so volume never outruns deliverability.
All that mechanism exists to move the hands. Mainspring's output isn't emails sent. It's qualified meetings booked on your team's calendar, with the context to run them.
The escapement is the point.
The cheapest way to automate outbound is to send as much as possible and see what sticks. That's a spring with no escapement: everything goes at once, the domain burns, and the market learns to ignore you.
We put as much work into Mainspring's limits as into its agents. Pacing, circuit breakers, the claims check and stop-on-reply are what let it run for months instead of days.
Wind it once. Let it run.
Early access is open to a small number of technical B2B companies. Tell us who you sell to and we'll tell you whether Mainspring fits.
